This position is located in our Chicago, IL headquarters. Position Description:1. Design, implement and maintain the Oracle 11i E-Business Suite database system.2. Participate in project to design and implement the upgrade from Oracle 11i E-Business Suite to R12. 3. Provide leadership and expertise in the operational effectiveness of the E-Business Suite system which includes; upgrading, patching, cloning, installation, high availability, performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery.4. Perform database administration activities such as performance tuning, backup and recovery, and maintaining the Oracle 11i E-business Ssuite and 9i/10g databases as well as provide level 2 & 3 support on a rotating basis. Proactively identify and correct 11i performance problems and monitor space usage.5. Build technical depth of team by mentoring, developing and guiding other DBA team members.6. Work effectively with Oracle DBAs, developers, infrastructure teams and external customers to resolve problems with application/database systems. Position Requirements:1. Minimum of 5 years IT experience, with the following specific experiences: 4 years of Oracle database administration, 4 years of Oracle applications administration, 2 years of Oracle 11i or R12 applications administration, and 2 years of UNIX administration. Minimum of 2 years experience working in a large organization. Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. Able to work flexible hours as required by business priorities. 2. Hands on experience with Oracle 11.5.9 or, 11.5.10, or 12.1 Applications including; Financials, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, ASCP, or HRMS. Experience installing, upgrading, cloning, and patching Oracle 11i and R12 applications. Hands on experience with a multi-tier Oracle Applications environment. Experience performance tuning, setting up highly availability, and securing Oracle Applications 11i. Oracle Applications system administration experience including Cconcurrent Mmanager configuration. Strong understanding of the Oracle technology stack and architecture for Oracle Applications 11.5.9/11.5.10/12.0.41,1. Strong database concepts and fundamentals. Hands on experience with Oracle 10g database management systems and overall Oracle technical environment. Strong desire and aptitude to learn new technologies and additional Oracle solutions. Solid Unix system administration fundamentals. Ability to create SQL & shell scripts for automation of tasks.3. Ability to mentor and develop junior administrators. Ability to implement, enforce, and adhere to standards. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Strong leadership skills and ability to work effectively under pressure.4. Preferred Requirements: Experience with DBA support for custom application development efforts. TEKsystems has teamed up with a large engineering and manufacturing company that is based in Pittsburgh, PA that has multiple immediate needs for Oracle Application Developers. These are long-term Contract opportunities.
On a day to day basis the incumbent will be responsible for development to create application extensions and/or interfaces related to Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 for a corporate ERP initiative. Assignments will include the technical design, development and testing of screens, reports, interfaces and extensions. This position also requires experience with development tools/technologies including JDeveloper, Oracle Workflow, Oracle Application Framework, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports (including XML Publisher), and Oracle Configurator Developer. Specific programming languages used with the development tools listed above would include: PL/SQL, Java, JSP, BPEL, and XML. Expertise in using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and proficiency in the design and development of Web Services is desirable. Experience with the Oracle PIM (Product Information Management) data hub would be a positive.
The Ideal candidate for this opportunity would have direct experience with Oracle Applications Development. This includes some experience with PL/SQL, Java, JSP, BPEL, and XML in an SOA environment.

The role of an Oracle E-Business Suite Applications DBA is to help customers implement Oracle technologies including Fusion Middleware and AS10g. The Oracle Applications Developer will analyze data, determine project requirements, review functional requirements, and develop detailed designs to implement those requirements. The Oracle Applications Developer will also be responsible for documenting the design, developing use cases, developing unit test scripts, developing the code, unit testing, and supporting the software during production implementation. The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a minimum clearance level.
Major Job Functions:
Program using Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, SQL Plus, and WebUtility
Assist with installations, upgrades and system conversions
Conduct problem analysis and resolution
Work with established deadlines and CMMI-Level 3 processes
Ensure commitments and deliverables are consistently met
Required Skills:
Strong ability to develop and maintain Oracle Forms 4.5 thru 10g
Strong ability to develop and maintain Oracle Reports 2.5 thru 10g
Strong ability to write SQL program scripts to generate reports, DDL and DML
Strong ability to write and analyze PL/SQL script programs
Ability to utilize Quest TOAD and SQLPlus.
Proficient with developing software using Oracle databases within UNIX / AIX environments
Experience with operating systems such as UNIX, Sun Solaris, NT and Windows 2003
Experience with Oracle Application Server 10g and Oracle Internet Directory
Strong inter-personal communication skills
Ability to write formal document deliverables for client review
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Able to work in a dynamic environment
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Services, or equivalent
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of security implementation techniques such as encryption, authentication, single sign-on, etc.
